Visit to the Monte Alen National Park
The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife including gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants, and various bird species. It offers the opportunity to hike through the lush rainforest and catch a glimpse of the amazing animals in their natural habitat.
Malabo City Tour
The capital city of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo offers a unique blend of African and Spanish culture. Visitors can explore the historic center of the city, which is home to several colonial-era buildings, visit the markets, and experience the local cuisine. The city also offers a great view of the Atlantic Ocean from the top of the Pico Basile, the highest point in the city.
Upon arrival at the SSG airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with airport formalities and baggage clearance. You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle. After checking into the hotel, you will have a brief meeting with your guide to finalize the details of your Equatorial Guinea adventure. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable night’s stay at the hotel.
We then leave the city and head towards the Pico Basile, the highest mountain in the country. We will hike for a couple of hours through lush jungle and breathtaking scenery, until we reach the summit where we can enjoy panoramic views of the island. Along the way, we may encounter various local wildlife such as monkeys and colorful birds. After the hike, we return to the hotel for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
This morning, after breakfast, we depart the hotel and make our way to the airport for a morning flight to the mainland city of Bata. Upon arrival at the airport, we will be met by our local guide who will transfer us to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, we will embark on a tour of Bata, where we will visit the clock square, the cathedral, the bustling market, the mosque and the main avenues. If time allows, we may take a stroll along the waterfront in Bomé before returning to the hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, we embark on a journey to the town of Mongomo, located about three hours away. The drive offers stunning views of picturesque habitats and villages, with stretches of dense rainforest along the way. Upon arrival, we check into the Akoakam hotel for lunch and later embark on an afternoon sightseeing tour of Mongomo. This town, known for being the hometown of Equatorial Guinea’s first president and the current president’s uncle, is predominantly inhabited by the Fang ethnic tribe. With a population of over seven thousand, Mongomo is a popular destination for the president to visit during long weekends.
In the morning, we embark on a visit to the city of Oyala, a planned futuristic city that is set to become the capital of Equatorial Guinea. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, Oyala, also known as « the city of peace », is a vast area undergoing extensive construction work. We will tour some of the massive buildings that will serve as government offices, hotels, supermarkets, and more. After the visit, we make our way back to Bata, making a stop in Anisok on the way. In Bata, we catch a domestic flight to Malabo Airport to catch our connecting flight back home. The tour concludes here.
